WUNDERDOG ( HORSES)

SARATOGA Race #2 at 3:00 PM Eastern

Top pick: #11 (COLOSSAL GIFT) - Has the best overall form of this group and last out he missed by a neck at Belmont going 10 furlongs. Race was by far his best yet and in earned him the highest "figure" any of these has run. His lack of early speed and a tough outside post hurt a bit, but Dominguez can get him him home on top.

2nd pick: #9 (Big Herman) - Improving son of "Indian Charlie" has excellent positional speed and finished second at Belmont June 22 in his first ever on the grass. Working fast locally for this and he's a win threat.

3rd pick: #8 (Reach a Decision) - Home-bred from Juddmonte Farms finished an even third when debuting at Belmont in late May going a "flat" mile. On the shelf for the past two months, trainer Bill Mott has him working steadily and will switch him to the grass. Price play.

4th pick: #1 (Imaging) - Beautifully-bred colt obviously has his share of issues as his running line has some layoffs in it. He had a poor start in his latest and raced evenly while finishing six lengths back of "Colossal". Race was his first in 2 1/2 months and son of "Dynaformer" could impact with a clean break.

Del Mar Race #1 at 7:00 PM Eastern

Top pick: #4 (BAUBLE QUEEN) - She's been bet in all three starts and was a very easy and impressive maiden winner on the main-track at Hollywood Park June 12 going 6.5 furlongs. Trainer Eric Kruljac has given her seven weeks since that effort and will stretch her out and move her to the grass for her first facing winners. Bred to handle the switch, and she's the horse to beat.

2nd pick: #7 (Hard Sun) - Lightly raced and improving, daughter of "Rock Hard Ten" finished second last out facing slightly weaker and brings good early speed to the contest. Filly can factor for the top spot.

3rd pick: #1 (Artuya) - Filly broke her maiden on the Hollywood lawn at this trip May 30, then finished a close-up pace-setting third in her first facing winners. Has the rail, is improving, and daughter of "Giant's Causeway" is in the Baffert barn. Win candidate.

4th pick: #3 (Wallstreeter) - She moves back to the grass and drops down in class after finishing last in the Hollywood Oaks (G2) June 25. Working fine since and she's been stakes placed twice on the turf.
